North-South Farm Road [ View Interactive Version ]

This road ran in a north-south axis along the edge of some of the actively managed fields of the Monticello home farm. Its course was marked by a number of plantation-related sites, such as slave quarters and a nailery. In a survey dated May 13, 1809, Jefferson made notations about its course and length.
